Let’s be honest for a second. Can we just pull back the curtain and talk about the thing nobody mentions at the end of the therapy session or the altar call?

You’ve done the work. You’ve processed the trauma, you’ve set the boundaries, and you’ve finally stopped crying yourself to sleep over that one thing. You’re "healed." Or at least, the crisis is over. But here’s the confession: even though you’re healed, you still feel… stuck.

Yep, I said it.

I’ve been there. I mean, I’m The Heart Work Strategist™, but there were seasons where I’d literally sit on my couch, binge-watching Netflix, feeling like a complete fraud because I knew I was meant for more, yet I couldn't figure out why my "new life" felt so incredibly heavy. I was survivor-strong but purpose-weak. I was high-achieving in my career but low-functioning in my joy.

You’re checking all the boxes and keeping everyone else’s world spinning, but when the house finally gets quiet, you’re left with this hollow ache you can’t quite name. You’re the one everyone calls when their life is falling apart, the "strong friend" who always has the right words. But inside, you’re wondering if you’re just going through the motions. It’s like you’re living a life that looks good on paper, but your soul is still searching for a place to actually rest.

If you’ve been asking yourself, "Now what?": this guide is for you. We’re moving past the survival mode and stepping into Spirit-led, intentional living.

The Big Myth: Purpose is a Project

We’ve been lied to. We’ve been told that finding your purpose after healing is like finding a new job or starting a non-profit. We treat purpose like it’s a destination on a map: something we do once we’re finally "fixed."

But here is the truth that brings so much freedom: Purpose isn't what you do; it's who you are.

When you're in that initial healing phase, your purpose is survival. And that’s okay! You needed to survive. But once the smoke clears, you can’t keep using survival tools to build a life of joy. A hammer is great for breaking down walls, but it’s terrible for painting a masterpiece.

Finding your purpose after healing is about shifting from "What do I need to do to stay safe?" to "Who did God create me to be before the world told me who I should be?" It’s a revival of your true identity.

Shifting from Survival to Joy: The Internal Pivot

Living with joy and ease isn’t about having a life without problems. It’s about having a soul that is anchored. For many creative women and high-achievers, we struggle with this because we think "joy" is lazy. We think "ease" means we aren't working hard enough.

Let’s be real: procrastination is often just perfectionism in a trench coat. We stay stuck because we’re afraid that if we step into our purpose, we’ll have to maintain a level of "perfect" that we just can’t hit.

You have to allow yourself to be a work in progress. Purpose is found in the messy middle, in the paint splatters, and in the "Spirit-led" pivots that don't always make sense to your spreadsheet-loving brain.

The A.R.T. of Overcoming Method™: Your Framework for Transformation

Because I’m a strategist at heart, I can’t just give you "vibes" and leave you hanging. I need you to have a roadmap. This is the process I use with my one-on-one coaching clients to help them clear the inner clutter and align with their God-given purpose.

We call it the The A.R.T. of Overcoming Method™.

1. Acknowledge (What’s holding you back?)

You can’t heal what you won’t reveal. This isn’t about the old trauma: it’s about acknowledging the current stagnation. Are you still playing small because it feels safer? Are you people-pleasing to avoid the discomfort of being seen? Acknowledge the "inner clutter": the self-doubt and the "shoulds" that are crowding out your joy.

2. Release (Guilt and Shame)

This is the part where most of us get stuck. We feel guilty for wanting more when we "already have so much to be grateful for." We feel shame for the time we "wasted" while we were healing. Honey, listen to me: nothing is wasted in the hands of the Creator. Release the weight of who you thought you were supposed to be by now.

3. Transform (How you show up)

This is where the strategic action comes in. Transformation isn't a one-time event; it's how you show up every single day. It’s choosing joy over the grind. It’s moving with "passion, fire, and faith" instead of fear. This is where you start building your next chapter: not from a place of "fixing" yourself, but from a place of wholeness.

5 Steps to Start Living Intentionally Today

If you’re ready to stop the "fragmented life" and start living with purpose, here are five ways to kickstart the process:

  1. Ditch the To-Do List for a To-Be List: Instead of writing down what you need to do, write down who you want to be today. Patient? Creative? Joyful? Let your actions flow from that identity.
  2. Audit Your Energy: What is draining you? Is it a project, a relationship, or a mindset? If it doesn’t align with your "heart work," it’s time to strategically withdraw.
  3. Embrace "Spirit-Led" Action: Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is take a nap or go for a walk. Stop trying to out-hustle God.
  4. Find Your "Glimmers": These are the opposite of triggers. They are small moments of beauty or peace that remind you that you are alive. Collect them like treasure.
  5. Stop Going Solo: Healing can be a private journey, but purpose is a communal one. You weren't meant to carry the vision alone.

You Need a Village

Speaking of not going solo… let's talk about community.

Most "personal development" spaces feel like stiff boardrooms or cold classrooms. That’s not us. When you join The A.R.T. of Overcoming Membership, it’s not about "fixing" each other. It’s about that family reunion feel.

I mean the good kind of family reunion: the one with the favorite cousins you haven't seen in forever, the aunties who tell the truth with a side of grace, and that feeling of "I’m finally with my people." It’s the cookout where the weight of the world drops for a moment because you realize you don't have to explain yourself. You’re seen, you’re heard, and you’re home.

We use creative practices, meditations, and coworking sessions to help you tap into your joy. It’s where the "Heart Work" happens in real-time.
